Nicholas Pépé Joins French Club Nice on Loan

Ivory Coast (29th May, 1995) born international player Nicholas Pépé who played for a premier League club Aresnal has joined french Ligue 1 Club Nice on a one-year loan term, yesterday

Recall, that Pepe joined Aresnal club from Lile in a blockbuster  £80 million deal in August 2019 in which he has played 111 for the great gunners

The 27-year old player is likely to return to London next season as there is no purchase clause on the loan deal

His impacts in Aresnal will be greatly felt as everyone in the club wishes him well in french as he joins Nice next season

In the FA cup with the gunners in year 2020, Pépé assisted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second goal of the game thereby making them to win Chelsea 2 – 1.

In the 2020/2021 season while in Aresnal Nicholas Pépé scored an unforgettable goal against Wolverhampton Wanderers where he beat Ruben Neves thereby finishing into the top corner

In Arteta’s first victory since taking full charge of the club Pépé also scored in the opening game against Manchester United

In his 111 games for Aresnal, Pépé has been able to have scored 27 goals and created 21 assists.

Last season was not particularly fruitful with the winger scoring just once in 20 appearances, which was an impressive goal on the turn in another victory over Wolves.

Ineos petrochemical entrepreneur, Jim Ratcliffe owner of Ambitious Nice, came fifth in Ligue 1 the previous season and is set  in an attempt to challenge Paris St-German’s stranglehold on french football

The French Club Nice have already added an ex-gunner Aaron Ramsey, Danish goalkeeper Kasper schmeichel and now a winger, Nicholas Pépé

Pépé has played for Stade Poitevin, Angers and Orléans all in France

Therefore, returning to the familiar territory will hopefully see the winger get back to his best and will be a great boost for the club

Also, with the squad of players Nice have signed it would be a great chance for Pépé to win a trophy in france
