Steve Cooper, the next Morgan Gibbs-White, is a “remarkable” £22 million target for Leicester City.

Steve Cooper, the next Morgan Gibbs-White, is a "remarkable" £22 million target for Leicester City.

For Leicester City, Steve Cooper may have discovered the next big thing in the form of Morgan Gibbs-White.

After Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall finalised a move to London giants Chelsea, Leicester City and Steve Cooper had to focus entirely on finding a replacement for the departing midfield player.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who aspired to play for Chelsea, wowed everyone with an amazing 2023–24 Championship campaign in which he contributed 26 goals while playing for former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca.

Matt O’Riley, a midfielder for Celtic, is apparently being eyed for a deal by Cooper, who has been proactive in searching the markets for his replacement and an answer to a midfielder with a goal threat comparable to Dewsbury-Hall.

Callum O’Hare, a former midfielder for Coventry City, has also been mentioned as a less expensive option.

The former Nottingham Forest manager has his eye on another player who may be his own Leicester City counterpart of Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White from a tactical standpoint.
