Report; Malik Nabers sends message to NFL fans after injury scare in Giants-Cowboys

NFL fans were alarmed on Thursday night when New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers had to be assisted off the field late in the fourth quarter. Nabers had been trying to stay in bounds on a fourth-down pass from quarterback Daniel Jones when his facemask hit the ground hard. After being taken to the locker room, he was diagnosed with a concussion.

Following the Giants’ 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, outside linebacker Brian Burns checked in on Nabers, asking if he was okay, to which Nabers shook his head no.

Later that night, however, Nabers shared a reassuring message on his Instagram story, saying, “All good Thanks for all the prayers!!”

“I got to speak with him briefly,” said Giants receiver Wan’Dale Robinson. “Nothing major. I think he’ll be alright.”

Robinson caught 11 passes for 71 yards during the loss, and together with Malik Nabers, they accounted for nearly 80% of the Giants’ total receptions.

The Giants can breathe a sigh of relief, but Nabers must still complete the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol before returning to play. Their next matchup is in 10 days against the Seattle Seahawks.

Before his injury, Nabers was having another standout performance, with 12 catches for 115 yards on 15 targets. He now holds the second-highest number of receptions by a rookie through four games, with 35, trailing only Puka Nacua, who had 39. Nabers also continues to make defenders struggle to keep up with him.

Unfortunately, after scoring two touchdowns last week against the Cleveland Browns, Malik Nabers and the Giants were shut out of the end zone by the Cowboys’ defense. All 15 of the Giants’ points came from Greg Joseph’s field goals.

With just 32 seconds left, Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey missed a field goal, giving New York a final chance to score a game-winning touchdown. However, Daniel Jones’ interception at the Dallas four-yard line on a hail mary dashed those hopes, and the Giants dropped to 1-3, while the Cowboys secured their second win of the season.
