Job Description
- Role Holder shall oversee the developing business opportunities for accounting and financial reporting services including IFRS and IPSAS reporting advice, and slso the implementation of financial reporting technologies as well as Finance controllership etc.
- Candidate is mandated with the responsiblity of managing all the clients within the region for adequate assurance and related services and must also be a BSC holder or its equivalent from a recognised institution
- He/she shall have the capacity to develop all necessary materials needed for the work to pull through and must participate presentation deliveries to clients and firms personnel
- Candidate for this role shall render quality services to clients and / or support local office teams as the opportunity arises
- He/she is to monitor and supervise the financial reporting projects of the company and manage all personnel under the accounting and financial reporting services for smooth running of the company
- Role Holder shall be responsible for all implementation of complex accounting standards such as IFRS 3, IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 32 etc
- He/she must be a person of be sound mind being able to contribute positively on the market and eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns within the practice
- He/she is termed with the responsibility of assisting and supporting the audit team on technical issues relating to financial reporting
- Candidate shall adequately and assuredly manage the sustainable development related services in the region
Job Qualifications
- The manager must be sound in Corporate reporting including financial and sustainability reporting which is highly needed criteria for selection
- Great experience in implementation of internal controls to help the company reach its height is required from candidate
- Must be a person with reasonable and articulated capacity enough to think critically and accurately about issues from a strategic perspective (options available, pros / cons of different options, proposed solution) and aptitude mind set in researching accounting standards and related interpretive guidance
- Candidates for this role should possess an ACA or ACCA designation or it’s equivalent and must possess a minimum of 7 years experience with a reputable organization.
- Candidate for this role should possess quality knowledge in practical accounting & reporting advisory technical experience and skills in IFRS, IPSAS, GAAP
- The role holder must have strong business development capabilities.
- It is required of candidate to have at least 3 years’ experience in a big 4 professional services firm
- He/she shall have strong technology implementation capabilities and wealth experiences in workiva, CaseWare or similar solutions is an added advantage.
- Candidate must possess sound experienced with client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, project problem diagnosis, solution development, managing client expectations and team leadership
