After being carried off the field during Sunday’s FA Cup match against Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus was left holding his head in his hands.
In the opening moments of the third-round matchup with Manchester United, the Arsenal star was engaged in a heated altercation with Lisandro Martinez.
However, Jesus tracked back to tackle Bruno Fernandes on the brink of his own box, ending his game early.
The Man United player was dragged down after an ugly challenge, but referee Andy Madley did not call a foul.
Fernandes was then yellow carded for dissent when he tossed his boot to the ground in disgust in a blatant display of frustration.
Jesus needed medical attention on the field, so even though it wasn’t considered a foul, it wasn’t good news for him.
With a stretcher in hand, Arsenal’s medical staff entered the field of play, obviously in some difficulty.
In concerning circumstances, Raheem Sterling replaced the Brazilian, who was carried off the field with his head in his hands.
After a brief aerial bout with Martinez, Jesus was also observed gripping his knee.
The attacker, who has had difficulty making consistent starts for the Gunners this season, has had a rough season.
