The Suns legend chastises Devin Booker and explains why Phoenix wants Jimmy Butler.

NBA Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst.

The Phoenix Suns’ season has recently reached a difficult patch, and tensions are starting to mount in the locker room. The Suns, who began the season with an 8-1 record, are currently 12th in the Western Conference standings and out of the postseason contention with a 17-19 record. The Suns were not predicted to be a fringe playoff team, but this season they have been, thanks to their one of the biggest payrolls in the NBA and their all-star lineup of Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant. The Suns have been involved in a lot of trade speculations this season, and in recent weeks, those whispers have started to intensify as they attempt to turn their season around. Most rumors contain them.

Charles Barkley, a former NBA Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst, recently criticized Booker and explained why the Suns are interested in Butler. “I said to you guys last year, maybe Devin could be that guy,” Barkley stated. “Devin is an incredible athlete. However, I also believe that he is an overly kind man. The other guys are not held responsible by him. That, in my opinion, is the reason they wish to get Jimmy Butler. Barkley did not mince words when praising Booker’s leadership abilities. Butler, who has been a strong leader on every team he has played for, is wanted by the Suns because of the absence of leadership in the locker room, he added.
