Following their third international competition of the 2024–2025 season, the Saskatchewan Selects have returned from their neighbors south of the border.
The Sask Selects Football Program attended the North American Youth Football Championships in Florida, USA, from February 20 to 23. Sixty-two teams from all over the continent participated.
In the Sask Selects, five teams traveled in the 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, and Varsity age groups. The 13U and 14U teams took first place in their age group, but other Selects games took center stage. “The football is great, truly fantastic. The hosts were amazing and welcoming. The entire weekend was something the kids will remember forever and at the end of the day that’s what it’s all about,” said Coach Zeljko.
For additional international exposure, the Sask Selects’ varsity team will travel to Europe from April 17 to April 28, stopping in Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.
