Sam Burgess, head coach of Warrington Wolves, shared his thoughts on the decision to book Matt Dufty with a yellow card during his team’s rout of Wigan Warriors.

With Warrington rising to the top of the standings, it was a night that may prove to be crucial in the Super League campaign.

Wigan suffered their first home loss in more than a year as the Wolves put on a merciless display from beginning to end, scoring seven tries.

Matt Dufty was undoubtedly one of the stars of the night, setting up tries with both his hands and his boot.

He’s currently third in the league for try assists – just one behind Marc Sneyd and Mikey Lewis, who both play in the halves – and is easily the league’s top metre maker, with his 3537 an incredible 866 ahead of his nearest competitor.

However, Burgess’ side finished the game with 12 men after Dufty was handed a yellow card for a ‘tip tackle’ on Liam Marshall (although this didn’t stop Rodrick Tai scoring late on).
