Rangers Manager Clement Discloses Player's Urgent Desire To Exit

If Philippe Clement is going to turn Rangers back into a title-winning team then he needs a squad full of players that are committed to the club.

It was an agonising end to the season for Rangers last time out after being narrowly pipped to the league title and the Scottish Cup by arch-rivals Celtic.

They are now under pressure to claw back next season and get their hands on more silverware, and their transfer business this summer is the first step towards achieving just that.

A huge overhaul to the squad is underway with six players having already left Ibrox when their contracts expired this summer.

Manager Philippe Clement has opened up on the club’s transfer business so far and revealed that one player in his squad was eager to leave in January but his exit was blocked.

Philippe Clement reveals player desperate to leave

It has been a slow start in terms of players coming through the door at Ibrox this summer, but plenty have headed for the exit.

Goalkeeper Robby McCrorie was part of the mass exodus, with the 26-year-old leaving to join Kilmarnock on a two-year deal.

Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes revealed that McCrorie made a “huge sacrifice” to leave Rangers this summer and Clement has added that the shot-stopper was “desperate” to depart.“

“I knew Robby McCrorie was desperate to go in January. I stopped him in January,” Clement told the media.

“We helped him to act fast in this window because it’s important with European games to come that he trains with his new team at Kilmarnock.”
