With Barcelona on the verge of reaching an agreement with a Saudi fund regarding the sale of VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou, which could bring in more than €100 million, it looks like there is finally some relief for Barcelona supporters after weeks of uncertainty as the team looks on track to register their new signings, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Laporta offers Flick a status update
Diario SPORT claims that Joan Laporta, who helped to broker the trade from Dubai, has told Barcelona coach Hansi Flick about the team’s predicament.
The German has been updated on Barcelona’s financial situation, and Laporta has made it clear that from next summer, Barça will be able to fully engage in the transfer market.
That is, providing, La Liga gives the green light to the arrangement with the Saudi fund.
Barcelona will also be allowed to register Olmo and Victor, their summer acquisitions, according to the arrangement. The club, however, are also awaiting other means of registering these players.
The fate of the Catalans’ notable petition to gain precautionary measures through another court is expected to be known within the next few hours.
Barcelona might be forced to wait for La Liga’s consent and proceed with the Saudi finance arrangement if the court rejects the club once more.
If not, Barça might decide to hold off and possibly look for other bidders. After all, the club had anticipated receiving €200 million from Spotify Camp Nou’s VIP box sales.
Therefore, the next few hours would be crucial and might influence Barcelona’s economic strategies.
Meanwhile, Flick has already been considering a number of transfer market options, including Thomas Partey .
