Due to FC Barcelona’s defensive unit’s flaws being revealed during last Sunday’s Spanish Super Cup final, Real Madrid is in a precarious position.
The administration has chosen to search within the club for remedies rather than go out and sign reinforcements during the current January window, despite the obvious issues.
Regarding the center-back position, David Alaba’s impending comeback is viewed as a plus, and there is rising support for Raul Asencio to establish himself as a consistent starter.
At RB, Ferland Mendy?
Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid may want to consider using seasoned player Ferland Mendy as a right-back, with Fran Garcia or Eduardo Camavinga filling in at left-back, according to MARCA.

Although it has been contemplated, the squad would lose one of its key engine room players if Fede Valverde were to be used as a substitute right-back.
Because Ancelotti has a lot of faith in the Frenchman, the staff could try Mendy on the right side of the defense.
Despite his recent poor play, the team believes that once he gets back to his best, he would be a formidable player. Raul Asencio himself could be used at right-back to strengthen the defense, but as of right now, Ancelotti is not very interested in promoting Lorenzo Aguado.
Barcelona mercilessly exposed Real Madrid’s defensive weaknesses in the heartbreaking 2–5 Spanish Super Cup loss this past weekend, exposing them once more.
