Newcastle and Liverpool are now interested in Steve Cooper, a £21 million star who declined to play for Nottingham Forest.

Although Nottingham Forest has made some very wise acquisitions in the last year, we did let one player slip away back in 2022. Evangelo Marinakis has made a number of poor acquisitions, but lately, the transfer business has been of the finest caliber.

Elliot Anderson and Nikola Milenkovic were acquired by Nottingham Forest for a total of £49 million in the summer, and their current value may be double or higher.

While Anderson has expressed sadness to his previous team for having to let him go in the summer, Milenkovic has already caught Newcastle’s attention.

On the transfer front, things haven’t always gone well, though, because Steve Cooper erred in 2023.

One of the most sought-after central defenders in Europe, Loic Bade is now expected to join Liverpool.
After joining Nottingham Forest on loan in 2022, Loic Bade ended up returning to his parent club in January 2023.

Steve Cooper’s refusal to include him in his squad at the time was the reason he didn’t even show up at the City Ground.

Given that he has become one of the top center backs in Europe in the last 12 months, Cooper and Nottingham Forest will undoubtedly be filled with remorse.

At the moment, Loic Bade plays football for Sevilla in Spain.

He is a French center-back who dominates some of the top strikers in the world in La Liga thanks to his power and speed-based style of play.

The Frenchman is 1.91 meters tall. To put that in perspective, he is four centimeters shorter than Milenkovic and seven centimeters taller than Murillo.

Given the start Milenkovic and Murillo have made together at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest doesn’t now require a center-back, but it’s still infuriating that he wasn’t given an opportu

nity .
