Mikel Arteta claims that Gabriel Jesus’ recent goal glut “must be” a turning point.

Mikel Arteta, who hailed his brace against Crystal Palace as a turning point in the striker’s career, has challenged Gabriel Jesus to maintain his hot run and lead Arsenal to victory.

Three days after his hat-trick against the Eagles sent his team to the Carabao Cup semi-finals, Jesus scored twice in Arsenal’s 5-1 victory at Selhurst Park.

After a fruitless run in front of goal, the 27-year-old’s future in north London seemed uncertian.

In fact, he scored his first goal in the Premier League in 326 days on Saturday at Selhurst Park.

But after five goals in two games, Arteta thinks Jesus’ troubled past is over.

“It has to be,” Arteta said in response to a question about whether he was optimistic that this would be a turning point for Jesus. We must push him, release him, and move behind him.

He has experienced some challenging times, and being a striker is challenging since you are frequently in the spotlight.

However, he deserves praise for his work ethic and the way he returned in the summer as a totally new player. And he’s getting rewarded now.

Arsenal supporters were urging the club’s management to fund a move for a new manager after the team’s two league draws against Fulham and Everton were lackluster.
