Vitor Pereira has endorsed Matheus Cunha’s transfer from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Manchester United, calling the striker a ‘perfect’ player.
Cunha has been Wolves’ talisman this season, scoring ten goals in twenty Premier League games. He was a standout in Wolves’ 2-0 home victory over Manchester United on Boxing Day, scoring and assisting.
The centre-forward remarkably scored right from a corner to give his team the lead, before setting up Hwang Hee-chan for a second goal late on as Wolves made sure of the win.
That performance clearly left a big impression on Man Utd, as Ruben Amorim and the Old Trafford hierarchy are hoping to make Cunha their latest attacking signing.
Cunha was earlier assessed at £60 million (€71 million / $73.8 million), while Ait-Nouri, a potential Luke Shaw successor, was valued at approximately £40 million (€47.3 million / $49.2 million).
United have now been given clearance to make a move for Cunha after Wolves manager Pereira discussed the goalscorer leaving for a major club.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Pereira described Cunha as a “perfect player.” If he receives the ball in the appropriate areas, he has the ability to win the game.
“He have the qualities to determine the game. He is quick with the ball, unpredictable, and capable of creating something unique and scoring goals.
“He has everything that we need for a creative player.”
