The top League One teams as well as several Championship teams are thinking about moving for Paudie O’Connor, the former Leeds United defender now playing for Lincoln City.
O’Connor, who is in the last year of his contract with Lincoln, is reportedly a target for higher-tier teams this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Sincil Bank team’s summer has been harsh thus far, as their standout custodian and right wing-back have left.
For an undisclosed amount, Lukas Jensen joined Millwall, a second-tier team, while Lasse Sorensen transferred to newly relegated Huddersfield Town, a league opponent. According to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, the Imps might make up to £500,000 from the agreement for the former Stoke player.
They recently signed Tom, a defender for Burton Albion.
Michael Skubala would have liked that this summer would have given his team the momentum to go again and accomplish what they just missed out on the previous season: make it to the play-offs. Following their success at the end of the previous season, when they went on a monster run of only losing two games after New Year’s Day for the remainder of the season.

According to O’Rourke, there is a lot of interest in the City skipper, who is desired.
Lincoln’s division and the one above are reportedly interested in the Irish defender, who has been at Sincil Bank since arriving as a free agent from Bradford City in the summer of 2022.
He is presently in the last year of his current contract, which presents a risk for the team. Now they run the danger of losing him for nothing in a year. Now that things have to be worked out, they should presumably decide whether to cash in now or try to work out new terms with the 27-year-old.
