According to Fichajes, Manchester United and Juventus are negotiating a trade that would see Joshua Zirkzee and Dusan Vlahovic switch clubs.
Due to United’s dismal performance in the future, the Red Devils have been connected to several seasoned strikers, such as Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen.
But Ineos has the difficult job of bolstering Amorim’s team while also making sure United abides by profit and sustainability or financial fair play regulations.
The Mancunians must sell players before adding new stars after another summer of lavish spending that saw them purchase players like Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt.
According to a Spanish rumor, Juventus might be able to assist United in finding their ideal attacker without requiring a big financial investment.
Manchester United wants to trade Dusan Vlahovic for Joshua Zirkzee.
Fichajes claims that because United and Juventus are in “advanced talks to close an operation” that would see Vlahovic move to Manchester and Zirkzee return to Turin, they might be “the protagonists of one of the most eye-catching moves of the winter transfer market.”
The Serbian striker’s profile, especially his mobility and aggression in and around the penalty area, is something that United finds admirable. He is regarded as “an immediate solution” to strengthen Amorim’s offensive.
Vlahovic, who has scored 12 goals this season across all competitions, has demonstrated his ability to score goals at both Fiorentina and Juventus. However, as his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026, his long-term future at the club is still up in the air.
Meanwhile, the Old Lady reportedly believes Zirkzee is a fantastic fit for their long-term project and has high expectations for his development.
The 23-year-old Dutchman has found it hard to show his talents in England, managing just four goals in all competitions. However, he made plenty of headlines with his link up play and technical ability under Thiago Motta at Bologna. Motta is now the head coach at Juventus.
The Spanish outlet add that negotiations between both clubs appear to be “well underway” and there is a willingness to complete the swap deal. It is believed an agreement “could be finalised in the coming weeks.”
The idea of getting one of the best strikers in Europe in exchange for a struggling youngster is certainly appealing, as far as United fans are concerned. Still, considering Fichajes’ reputation, it is best to take the claim with a pinch of salt!
