JUST IN! Colorado State Rams WR Falls 35-Yards Short of Big All-Time Conference Receiving Record

The Colorado State Rams experienced a significant setback to their offense with the news that star wide receiver Tory Horton will be sidelined for the entire 2024 season.

Horton sustained a knee injury in the recent matchup between Colorado State and San Jose State, which concluded with the Rams winning 31-24. He wraps up the season with 26 catches for 343 receiving yards and one touchdown. The skilled wide receiver faced frequent double coverage throughout the season, making it difficult for him to replicate the impressive numbers he achieved over the previous two years

The Colorado State Rams brought in Horton after he entered the transfer portal following the 2021 season. After transferring to Colorado State, he quickly established himself after previously playing as a second or third option at receiver.

Coach Jay Norvell announced that WR Tory Horton will miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury. His collegiate career wraps up with impressive stats: 265 catches for 3,615 yards and 27 touchdowns

In the last two seasons, Horton registered 167 receptions for 2,267 receiving yards, along with 16 touchdowns and one passing touchdown. The wide receiver was seen not only as a promising NFL prospect but also as a player capable of making his mark in the record books this season. He came close to achieving that goal, falling just 35 yards shy of the Mountain West Conference’s career receiving yards record

Horton now stands alongside talented NFL receivers Rashard Higgins, Michael Gallup, and David Anderson in Colorado State Rams receiving history. He wrapped up his collegiate career with 265 catches, 3,615 receiving yards, and 27 touchdowns
