Following media claims that Israel is providing permanent residency status to African asylum seekers in exchange for their willingness to fight in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has criticized Israel.
Hamas called the recruitment of asylum seekers “a violation of the most basic rules of human rights, by exploiting the need of immigrants and asylum seekers,” in a statement released Wednesday. Additionally, it stated that this is “an attempt to compensate for the great loss” that the occupying force has suffered as a result of the opposition from our courageous people in the Gaza Strip.
“To condemn this crime that expresses the behavior of racist gangs, and take the necessary measures to hold the criminal occupation leaders accountable for their actions,” Hamas demanded of the world community and international human rights agencies.
