CBS Sports) After being carried off the field during Sunday’s Week 15 game against the Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Grant DuBose has been declared out due to a head injury. DuBose is being transported to a nearby hospital for additional assessment, according to the team, and his condition is stable.
The injury occurred after Tua Tagovailoa targeted the second-year pro on a second-and-nine play across the middle of the field, causing him to take a big hit on a tackle with less than ten minutes remaining in the third quarter. The ball dropped incomplete as DuBose lay on the ground after Texans defender Calen Bullock Jr. popped him just as the pass reached him. DuBose received prompt attention from the medical team.
After working on DuBose for a total of twelve minutes, they managed to get him on a backboard and stretch him off the field. DeBose was hooked up to an IV on the field by the training staff, according to the CBS broadcast.
The 23-year-old is participating in his second NFL season. The Green Bay Packers selected the Charlotte-born pass catcher in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. At the conclusion of training camp, he was claimed by Miami after being waived by Green Bay. As Week 15 approaches, DuBose has made three appearances and caught one pass for 13 yards.
