In the last year of his contract, Patrick Dorgu’s annual salary at Manchester United is expected to rise to €3 million.
As the transfer to Manchester United draws nearer, Solo Lecce stated as much, referring to Dorgu as the “King of England” and outlining the terms of his contract.
Reports today have stated that Dorgu is now on the verge of being Manchester United’s first signing this month after they finally struck a deal with Lecce for him. United are expected to pay €35m plus €5m in bonuses for him.
Solo Lecce claims that he will sign a five-year contract with Manchester United and that his starting wage at Old Trafford will be €2 million annually, which is probably after taxes.
He will earn €2 million a year starting in the upcoming season, and €3 million in the last year of his contract.
According to the report, the player’s entourage has been persuaded to exert pressure on Lecce to advance to the next round of talks with their English counterparts because of Manchester United’s “monstrous” offer.
That seems to have worked, as the deal is now anticipated to be completed, bringing Dorgu one step closer to joining Manchester United.
