Current Newcastle United transfer situation: Guehi Man City connection, new Dubravka bid, Almiron departure

Even though Eddie Howe pleaded not to sell anyone, there might still be movement out of St. James’ Park in January.

Miguel Almiron, a forward for Newcastle United, may be moving to a Premier League opponent in January.

As he tries to recover form, the out-of-favor winger has hardly been used since the beginning of this season, and memories of his stellar 2022–2023 campaign are rapidly fading. Earlier this year, Almiron was linked to a move to River Plate; however, sources close to his agent have recently suggested a possible loan agreement to Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Wolves.

Newcastle may benefit from a loan agreement with an eye toward a permanent one as they seek to strengthen their finances in the competitive PSR market. Almiron is below Jacob Murphy in the hierarchy and has two years remaining on his contract.

Daniel Campos, his agent, stated: “Although Miguel is not happy with the minutes he has in England, he wants to stay and fight for his place at Newcastle.”Eddie Howe, the coach, was always there for him. He requested him to stay when he made a request. It must be a short-term or tactical problem.

They made an offer of about eighteen million dollars. We had negotiated a deal with them, but the club turned down the American offer.”

After seven games in the 2024–25 season, Almiron has failed to score, and it has been nearly a year since he last scored for the team. He scored in the Premier League’s 3-0 victory over Fulham at St. James’ Park back then. Almiron has 30 aspirations for his career.
