The Chicago Bulls will honor the former guard by retiring Derrick Rose’s jersey.

With the upcoming NBA season, Rose's number one jersey will be retired.

Derrick Rose, a Chicago native, played for the Chicago Bulls from 2008 to 2016. Following his final season with the team, Rose played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies. The Chicago Bulls announced today that Derrick Rose’s No. 1 jersey will be officially retired, making him the fifth Bulls player to receive this franchise honor. Details will be announced at a later date,” the Bulls said in a statement.
