It’s the perfect time of year to get a glimpse of Newcastle United supporters’ opinions on how things are going throughout the holiday season.
Therefore, we distributed a variety of queries to a select group of The Mag’s regular and irregular contributors.
Posing some of the day’s most crucial queries to these Newcastle United supporters.
Some with a seasonal twist are also included.
Who would you pick, and in what order, if you could ensure that five NUFC players—including all those who are presently out—would be healthy for the remainder of the season?
Isak, Tonali, Gordon, Botman, and Willock are the first five.
What would be the ideal Christmas gift to open from Newcastle United?
Sven Botman’s return to the forefront of our defense.
Although Fabian Schar and Dan Burn have performed admirably in the Dutchman’s absence, a fully recovered Botman—who wasn’t last season—would be an improvement.
Which three Newcastle United memories stand out in your memory from 2024?
As football players like to say, the January 6 massacre of the Mackems in Mackemland “has to be up there.” I kindly invited my Mackem friend Les Mann to watch the match with me in spectacular hi-def on my 55-inch Samsung, especially after we left a pre-match calling card in the Black Cats pub. Naturally, I provided the surround sound.
What are your three worst Newcastle United moments in 2024? The 4-3 comeback victory over West Ham, when Harvey Barnes delivered a super-sub performance with 15 minutes remaining after we looked as crowded as a Bernard Matthews. The FA Cup final was a contentious one that didn’t directly involve United but had significant ramifications: we were kicked off when Man City lost at Wembley. Although we were initially disappointed, I now believe Ten Hag’s team did us a favor because a revitalized Chelsea has a much heavier workload this season and we need to finish above them.
