Duke Basketball is still seeking its first commitment for the 2025 recruiting class, but two key prospects, Cameron and Cayden Boozer—twin sons of former Blue Devil Carlos Boozer—are set to announce their choices soon. According to multiple sources, the Boozer twins have narrowed their options to Duke and the Miami Hurricanes.
Initially, an announcement was expected today, October 10th, but sources informed TheDevilsDen.com that this will be postponed until later in the month. However, they are anticipated to reveal their decision before the start of their high school season.
No question looms larger in grassroots basketball than the fate of the Boozer twins. Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer, ranked No. 2 and No. 21 nationally, are approaching a pivotal moment in their recruitment.
As the sons of Carlos Boozer, they are among the most successful high school players in recent memory, boasting three straight Nike EYBL Peach Jam Championships and three consecutive Florida state titles.
Throughout their remarkable high school career, the Boozer twins have made official visits to Duke, Florida, Kentucky, and Miami. They’ve also received offers from numerous programs, including Arkansas and North Carolina, among others.
Florida State is set to travel to Durham, N.C., to take on Duke at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium on Friday, October 18th, at 7 p.m. Both teams are coming off bye weeks ahead of this matchup.
Duke boasts a 5-1 record this season, including 1-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, marking their second consecutive year starting 5-1. Their only loss came against Georgia Tech (24-14) on October 5th, following five straight wins against Elon (26-3), Northwestern (26-20, 2 OT), UConn (26-21), Middle Tennessee (45-17), and North Carolina (21-20).
Manny Diaz, in his fourth season as a head coach and first at Duke, holds a career record of 26-16. He has faced Florida State three times as head coach of the Miami Hurricanes, achieving a 2-1 record against them.
