BREAKING; Houston lost six key players due to injury including RB Joe Mixon, ankleTexans ahead of Bills Game

The Houston Texans’ upcoming game won’t be an easy one. In Week 5, the Texans will play the Buffalo Bills at NRG Stadium in a game that will demonstrate their caliber as a team.

Houston is improving after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars by a slim margin of 24–20. The Texans should have won the game much more easily, but their offensive performance was hampered by the absence of a rushing attack.

It looks like the Texans’ backfield will lean heavily on Cam Akers, given that Joe Mixon is still sidelined and Dameon Pierce is questionable for the upcoming matchup. Akers has already been stepping up, and with Pierce’s status uncertain, he will likely have to carry the bulk of the workload again.

Akers has proven he can be effective when called upon, but with a heavier workload, his ability to stay productive throughout the game will be key. Houston’s offensive scheme may need to focus more on balancing the run and pass, especially if they want to take some pressure off their quarterback and control the tempo of the game. If Pierce is limited or unavailable, Akers’ performance will be crucial for the Texans’ offensive success.

The Texans’ once impressive injury report became a little more promising on Friday as many of the limited participants returned from practice. Five players are listed as questionable, but just two have been ruled out versus the Bills.

The Texans haven’t really appeared to be the squad they were supposed to be prior to the season. Although injuries have undoubtedly caused pain, Houston has the chance to improve to 4-1 on the season if they defeat the Bills in their home stadium.
