A bid for the former defender by RB Leipzig may earn Barcelona €10 million.

Barcelona has also been linked to a deal for Mingueza.

Oscar Mingueza’s significant success this season has been widely reported. Reviews of the former Barcelona youth star’s performances at Celta Vigo are overwhelmingly positive.

In reality, Mingueza was called up to the Spanish national squad this season due to his exploits at right-back.

Mingueza has become a sought-after talent on the transfer market after recording two goals and five assists in 14 league games.

Interesting enough, Barcelona has also been linked to a deal for Mingueza as they look to bolster their right-back depth.

Mingueza is being eyed by RB Leipzig.
However, Miguel Rico reports that even RB Leipzig has entered the battle to recruit Mingueza, meaning Barcelona will have fierce competition.

The Bundesliga powerhouses are reportedly concedering a €20 million for Mingueza during the next January transfer window

Mingueza seems to be the best choice for Leipzig, who seem eager to add more depth in the right back position.

Leipzig is prepared to pay Mingueza’s €20 million release clause, but Barcelona may recruit the player for half that amount because the deal with Celta Vigo includes a 50% potential sell-on clause.

However, if Leipzig manages to get Mingueza from the Galician team, they could wind up keeping half of the aforementioned sum, or €10 million.

After all, Barcelona already has Hector Fort and Jules Kounde as options for the right-back position, despite their hesitant interest in him.
