A rider perishes in a collision in Staffordshire.

The crash happened in Hazelslade on Rugeley Road.

After colliding with an automobile in Staffordshire, a biker lost their life. Around 6.30 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, police and paramedics were called to Rugeley Road in Cannock following a collision between a car and a motorbike close to the Beau Desert Golf Club in Hazelslade.

Sadly, the 70-year-old motorcyclist passed away at the site. Police added that his family is being supported by specialised officers.

In order to determine the reason of the crash, officers stated that they had started a “full and detailed investigation.” They also mentioned that the car’s driver remained at the site and assisted the police with their investigation.

“A man has sadly died following a collision between a motorbike and a car in Cannock,” a Staffordshire Police spokesperson said. It happened on Rugeley Road, close to the Beau Desert Golf Club, at approximately 630 p.m. this evening, Saturday, August 17.

“West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedics were with us when we arrived. Sadly, the man in his 70s who was riding a motorbike passed away at the site despite the efforts of emergency responders.

“We respectfully request that their privacy be respected as specialist officers are providing support to his family at this trying time. The cause of the crash is currently being determined through a thorough and in-depth inquiry.
