Ethan Nwaneri’s exclusion from the senior dressing room is explained by Mikel Arteta.

Lewis-Skelly, who turns 18 in September, is permitted to be in the first team changing room on matchdays.

According to Mikel Arteta, Ethan Nwaneri must prepare in a separate dressing room from his Arsenal teammates on game days due to safety regulations.

During Sunday’s 5-1 triumph over Manchester City, Nwaneri, 17, scored his eighth goal of the season, solidifying his place in Arsenal’s starting lineup.

Myles Lewis-Skelly, another academy product, has also made a big impression. In the victory over City, the 18-year-old scored his first senior goal.

Since they both made their first team debuts at the same time, Arteta thinks the two, who are close friends, have benefited.

Since Nwaneri cannot change in the same locker rooms as his teammates on game day, the Arsenal manager believes that has been even more beneficial for him.

Players must be 18 years of age or older to share a dressing room with the senior squad due to safeguarding regulations.

Nwaneri must change somewhere else before participating in the final team discussion, but Lewis-Skelly, who turns 18 in September, is permitted to be in the first team changing room on matchdays.

“There is a bond and chemistry between those two (Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri) when you see them walking side by side and conversing,” Arteta added.

Since they are currently still in separate dressing rooms [at the training facility], I suppose it is special for them.
