According to reports, Mathys Tel has decided to join Manchester United as his next team.
For the £50 million Frenchman, United was up against fierce competition from Premier League opponents; seven teams, including Chelsea, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Arsenal, had expressed interest in the 19-year-old.
However, just over twenty-four hours before the winter transfer deadline, Sky Germany claims that the Red Devils have managed to win the 19-year-old over and are now close to signing him.
United must now come to an agreement with Bayern after agreeing terms with the player. According to reports, the Bavarian powerhouses have already turned down a loan offer from the team because they were unhappy with the terms.
Instead, Bayern is reportedly attempting to secure a long-term move abroad.
Tel made the decision to leave Bayern after losing favor with manager Vincent Kompany, and playing time was a major factor in his choice of next employer.
