With Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future uncertain, Paris Saint-Germain’s goalkeeping situation is rather questionable. The team will have to look for a successor in the transfer market if they decide to let go of the 25-year-old.
Although Donnarumma’s contract is set to expire in 2026, her prior transgressions have raised questions, prompting PSG to look into possible future options.
The team has prioritized investing in young French players, and PSG may have the ideal opportunity to offload their starting goalie this summer.
Lucas Chevalier, a goalkeeper for LOSC Lille, is a target for PSG during the summer transfer window. But only if they can get rid of Donnarumma, who hasn’t completely persuaded Luis Enrique, will the trade proceed.
However, a number of elite European teams are showing interest in the Frenchman. TBR Football revealed in November of last year that Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur had all been keeping an eye on Chevalier. According to Transfermarkt, the player is worth €30 million.
According to reports from Tuttosport and Sky Sport Italia, Donnarumma is being pursued by Inter Milan for the upcoming summer, and both teams are currently expressing interest in her. But there haven’t been any discussions yet.
The goalie would accept a salary at Inter between €7 million and €9 million and is open to returning to Italy and Milan. Donnarumma is presently valued at €35 million by Transfermarkt.
