A £54 million “monster” who is superior to Haaland and Isak is being courted by Arsenal.

The quality of Mikel Arteta’s frontline was questioned a week ago when Arsenal failed to score in a 0-0 draw with Everton.

A year ago, similar queries were raised, but the Gunners came up with a solution, mostly by elevating Kai Havertz.

Gabriel Jesus, of all persons, has scored five goals in his past two games, suggesting that a ready-made solution may have been found once more.

The Brazilian had not scored at the Emirates in more than a year of playing football until Wednesday, when he struck a devastating hat-trick against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup. Confidence does wonders for you, doesn’t it?

When they played Palace in back-to-back games on Saturday, Jesus was chosen to start at the top of the lineup once more. The former Manchester City striker scored twice against the Eagles.

Any thoughts that had loosened up around the notion of recruiting more attackers should now be disregarded, though, as Bukayo Saka suffered a hamstring injury.

In January, Arteta and company just need to go out and bring in a fresh forward.

In 2025, Arsenal is looking for a new center forward.

Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko was the center of attention back in the summer.

The massive striker appeared to be Arsenal’s main target, but any thoughts of a move were dashed when he agreed to a new contract with RB Leipzig that would keep him in Germany and waive his £55 million release clause.
