According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors acquired Dennis Schroder from the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, marking one of the first significant moves of the 2024–25 NBA season. Since the Warriors only had to give up De’Anthony Melton (who missed the season due to an ACL injury) and second-round choices, many were taken aback by the comparatively low cost of acquiring Schroder.
Warriors star Stephen Curry, for example, is ecstatic about the deal and posted a story on his Instagram account in response to the news.
Curry tagged Schroder in the post and added, “Let’s get it.”
Dennis Schroder, who is presently averaging over 18 points and 6 assists per game on nearly 40 percent shooting from beyond the three-point arc, has been playing what may be the finest basketball of his career thus far this season for the Nets.
In a recent home defeat to the Nets, the Warriors witnessed firsthand how dominant Schroder has been as the point guard took over in the closing mi
nutes.
