Apply for the Nigerian Immigration Recruitment Portal – January 2023

The Nigerian Immigration Recruitment Portal has yesterday been made open for the 2023 recruitment Service Exercise.

About the Nigerian Immigration Recruitment Portal A statement on the official portal stated that “The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time appointment to fill existing vacancies in the below positions in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).”

The agency made this known during the opening of its official portal on Monday, January 16, 2023, via its verified Twitter handle.

Immigration Portal Recruitment  Requirements:

Applicants must be a Nigerian by birth;

Applicant must have a valid National Identity Number(NIN);

Applicants must be holders of the requisite qualifications and certificates that they shall present;

Applicants must be medically and mentally fit and present certificates of medical fitness from Government recognized hospitals;

Applicants are to submit their online applications within two weeks from the date of publication which is 16th January;

Also, there shall be a computer-based test for shortlisted candidates;

Applicants are highly expected to be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offences;

A drug test shall be conducted on applicants so every single applicant is required to pass the drug tests;

Applicants must not be financially embarrassed, he/she should be well doing;

Note that multiple applications will automatically be disqualified, Just make a one time application;

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years, meanwhile doctors and pharmacists must not be more than 35 Years;

Applicants’ height must not be less than 1.65m tall for male and 1.60m tall for female;

Applicants must not have chest measurement of less than 0.87 for men;

Applicants are expected to computer literate which serves as added advantage;

Beware that any certificate or qualification presented and not declared or accepted during documentation, shall not be accepted after the recruitment.


Nigerian Immigration Service Recruitment Portal Available Positions and Specific Requirements

The Nigerian Immigration Recruitment Portal is categorised into three Categories, namely: Superintendent cadre, Inspectorate cadre, and Assistant cadre:


Superintendent Of Immigration (SI) CONPASS 11 Professional (Medical Doctors)

Applicants must possess minimum of first Degree (MBBS) from a recognized Institution of higher learning and NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate as an added advantage.

Assistant Superintendent Of Immigration II (ASI II) CONPASS 08

Applicants must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma or its equivalent from a recognized Institution in Nigeria.


Inspector Of Immigration (II) CONPASS 07 (Nursing)

Applicant must be a holder of RN, RM or both. Also, must have attended the registration of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMC) from a recognised institution.

Assistant Inspector Of Immigration (All), General Duty, CONPASS 06

Applicants must be holders of National Diploma (ND), NCE or its equivalent obtained from recognized Institutions in Nigeria.


Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 (Available for General Duty)

Applicants must be a holder of GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, GCE or Its equivalent with a minimum of Four (4) credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which must include English Language and Mathematics.

Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 (Artisans: Motor Driver, Mechanic)

Applicant must be a holder of Ordinary Level SSCE, or its equivalents and appropriate Trade Test Certificate for a recognised trade institution. Five (5) Valid Steps On Recruitment for Nigerian Immigration Service 2023

Step 1: Applicants are to create a new account on the official Nigerian Immigration Service Recruitment portal here>>.

Step 2: Next is for applicants to fill in their bio data, choosing the position you are applying for, fill in email, phone number and password and click the “continue” button to generate the application code.

Step 3: Upload your Passport photograph with a maximum size of 85KB, click the “save and continue” to the fourth step

Step 4: Fill in your academic qualifications and upload the requir d documents

Step 5: After required space has been filled appropriately click on the “Submit button” to submit the application form and print the acknowledgment slips. Ensure to keep it save
