The most recent installment of “As the Davante Adams Saga Turns” was presented to us on Friday.
After sharing a photo of Edgar Allan Poe and a quote from the well-known poet on his Instagram Stories, the wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders created quite a fuss. “Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear,” goes the quote. For those who don’t know, Poe was a native of Baltimore and is best known for “The Raven.”
Naturally, this led many people on social media to believe that the All-Pro had his sights set on Baltimore or that Adams was about to be dealt to the Ravens.
Rumors have taken on a life of their own since it was made public that Adams wanted to leave Las Vegas and that the Raiders were interested in moving him. Will Adams and Aaron Rodgers be reunited by the New York Jets? Will Adams and CeeDee Lamb form a 1-2 tandem for the Dallas Cowboys? Could Adams be traded by the Raiders to the Kansas City Chiefs, a division rival?
The Ravens, Jets, Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams who have expressed interest in Adams, according to NFL Network’s National Insider Ian Rapoport. Adams “prefers to be traded” to the Jets, according to Rapoport.
Is a Davante Adams trade on the horizon?
Adams is not going to be Lamar Jackson’s new deep threat, so Ravens fans shouldn’t hold their breath.
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, nothing significant is happening in that regard very soon.”At least 25% of this is true: There is no impending transaction involving Davante Adams. We’re still anticipating that things might get hotter next week. However, it was a good Friday afternoon, Garafolo wrote on X, the former Twitter.
Josina Anderson, an NFL insider, stated that there is “nothing going on” between Adams and the Ravens. Adams’ hamstring ailment will keep him out of action for the second straight game.
After an extremely impressive 37 games, Adams departs if he doesn’t go back to Las Vegas. He caught 221 passes for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns throughout that time.
