BREAK: Bengals location Trent Brown placed on inactive

Trent Brown, an offensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals, has been placed on the injured reserve list, the organization said on Saturday.

Tenth-year player Brown was hurt in the right knee during Monday’s game against Washington.

In the Bengals’ Week 3 loss against the Washington Commanders, Brown tore his patellar tendon. Due to the injury, Brown will need surgery to conclude the season, meaning his 2024 campaign is over.

The Bengals will mainly rely on Amarius Mims, a first-round choice in the NFL Draft, to handle the right tackle position now that Brown is out.

On the 53-man roster, Brown’s slot has not yet been filled by the Bengals. That’s probably because McKinnley Jackson and Myles Murphy can get off of injured reserve next week. One of them might be able to fill the roster vacancy. On the 53-man roster, Brown’s slot has not yet been filled by the Bengals. Look for the Bengals to add another offensive tackle if not that. Only Orlando Brown and Mike Mims are real tackles on the 53-man roster at the moment. The Bengals will mainly rely on Amarius Mims, a first-round choice in the NFL Draft, to handle the right tackle position now that Brown is out.
