Atletico Madrid reports an injury.

Atletico Madrid, the leaders of La Liga, have suffered a human blow.

This comes after it has been confirmed that Alexander Sørloth will be out for an indefinite period of time.

As for Sørloth, he started from the bench last night and scored twice as Atletico swept past Elche in the Copa del Rey.

However, manager Diego Simeone dragged the summer arrival to Madrid off after 45 minutes.

Because so little explanation had been given, concerns about Sørloth’s possible injury setback grew swiftly.

Additionally, confirmation of such a setback has been forthcoming on Thursday, as mentioned above.

According to a statement posted on Atléti’s social media pages and website:

According to testing, Alexander Sørloth, the Norwegian striker who was forced to leave the field at halftime during Wednesday’s game against Elche, has a moderate injury.

“The red and white team’s ‘9’ will go through physiotherapy sessions and gym rehabilitation work, and his return to competition will depend on how his injury develops.”
