According to Ruben Amorim, four Manchester United players are ‘lacking passion’ following Southampton’s victory.

The way Manchester United played against Southampton did not sit well with Ruben Amorim.

After the Red Devils rallied late to defeat Southampton, Ruben Amorim listed four Manchester United players that fell short of his standards.

In the last moments of the game, Amad Diallo spared United’s blushes with an amazing hat-trick, enabling the home team to win all three points in spectacular fashion.

Amad’s outstanding performance covered the gaps on yet another bad evening for United, while Manuel Ugarte gave Southampton an improbable lead shortly before halftime by turning the ball into his own net.

When Paul Scholes questioned Amorim on what he believed was lacking from his players on TNT Sports following the final whistle, he was not hesitant to name and shame.

“It’s not just tiredness but playing in this stadium, we lost the last three games here,” added Ferguson. “We try to put pressure on the opponent during the build-up, and you can feel the difficulties, so the pressure is different.
